Breckenridge: A Desirable Morrisville Neighborhood

Breckenridge is the largest existing community in Morrisville, NC with over 1100 homes including townhomes, ranch and single family homes. The community was started in 1999 by Pulte Homes and mostly complete by 2006. The community is praised by many for being a wonderful place to raise a family. Take a stroll through the neighborhood and you will see plenty of open spaces, tree lined streets, children playing, and flowering shrubs throughout.

Location

Breckenridge is adjacent to the Research Triangle Park (RTP) making it ideally suited to commuting to the numerous high-tech firms located in RTP. It is located just off Davis Drive in Morrisville close to the intersection of McCrimmon Parkway, within easy access to all major highways and RDU International Airport. It is also just a 20 minute drive to Raleigh, Durham or Chapel Hill, and just 10 minutes to the town of Cary.

Community

The community is made up of seven separate subdivisions in which include the Lakes, Legends, Manors, Park, Preserve, Terrace and Vistas.

Homes

The homes in Breckenridge are mostly two story with high ceilings, 2-car garages, 4 bedrooms, 2/12 baths, family room, dining room, 2nd floor utility rooms with W/D and large walk in closets. Many also offer beautiful master suites with huge walk-in wardrobes and master bathrooms with soaking tubs and separate shower area.

There is also a collection of range homes and attached townhomes with 0-1 car garages. Lot sizes range in from .05 acres (townhomes) to .30 acres.

Home prices in 2015-2016 ranged from:

• Townhomes: $167,000-$216,000 – 1400- 1900 SF
• Single Family Homes: $194,000-$395,000 - 1630-3700 SF

Amenities

The neighborhood offers 2 community pools (adult and children), lighted tennis and basketball courts, a playground, walking trails and a clubhouse with a full kitchen and 2 floors that can accommodate medium to large sized parties.

Homeowner Association

Breckenridge Home Owner’s Association offers organized activities such as a Book Club, a Woman’s Club, and several committees to oversee keeping the quality of the community at a high standard. Breckenridge also keeps open lines of communication with fire and police in Morrisville to maintain the safety of residents.
